The main field of my scientific activity is low-dimensional topology. In particular, I am interested in the theory of branched coverings, as a tool for representing manifolds and studying various topological and geometric structures on them.

I am also interested in computational applications of topology and geometry, specially the ones concerning spatial modelling, image processing, computer graphics and artificial vision.

My teaching activity takes place in the Classes of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Camerino. In the current academic year I teach the following undergraduate courses: Geometry 2, Advanced Geometry, Knot Theory and Applied Topology.

Moreover, I supervise students working on their degree theses, of both theoretical and applicative character. The following link contains a list of theses I assigned.

All the pages regarding teaching are in Italian.
